In my opinion, best movie (in a good group) of the year. Robin Williams (second half of the movie) grabs you as much as he ever has with a really touching performance. I wish more of Asimov's books were put on the screen if they would be done this well. It won't appeal to everyone because there are no car chases or morphing bullets, but this is what science fiction is supposed to be all about. Oscar for both Williams and the movie.
I've been wondering about that one. I've always loved Robin since the Mork and Mindy days. He's done some real winners like 'Good Morning Vietnam' and more serious fare along with some real turkeys. It's nice to hear he picked a good to do.
