Fine, dark little movie, and, as you note, not really a "biography" per se, but a "Baconesque" exploration of Bacon's relationship with Dyer. Interesting stylistically (falling is a main motif), and it also contains an outstanding performance by Derek Jacobi. (Bacon is not very sympathetic in this film, as you may be aware.)

Have you tried Netflix? It's also available new and used from Amazon. I don't think it's still available on VHS in the US, although it used to be in UK.
