Not if you had to pay $10 for a ticket, perhaps, but viewed free on a cable, it makes sense. What happens when "Das Boot" and "The Cook, the Tfief..." meet? Yep, you get the Rush. The claustrophobic kitchen sequences definitely rewoke the images of the German U-boat men struggling to survive... just ten feet below the street concrete level.
Anyway, if you like the restaurant movies, you could do worse.

Follow Ups:
and was lucky enough recently to pick up the original Das Boot 6-episode BBC series on LD, I'd been looking for that for years
The Cook, the Thief, etc was my introduction to Peter Greenaway films and remains a favorite
If Dinner Rush is up to the standard of either of those films it should be quite a treat!
Thanks for your posting, I'll check that one out

British stage craft. Nobody can move people across a screen or stage like them.

No, not quite up to those standards - if it were that would be a next giant born - but entertaining. It is, after all, an American film, so some cliche' are mandatory.
