What do you expect? It was directed by Brian DePalma; his track record has more pot holes than the Texas Highway system!Hey, the wife and I blew cash on it last weekend too, so I guess DePalma and the studio execs are happy!

Great movies, especially if you like Hitchock. "Body Double" and "Obsession" are both beautiful examples of the "homage" film, and good films in their own right, IMHO. Or how about "Blow Out"? Not as good as the British film that inspired it, but again a good film in its own right, with that indelible de Palma stamp. What exactly are these "potholes" in DePalma's career? (Besides "Mission Impossible" and possibly "Mission to Mars"? [which I haven't seen])
Does this mark a trend at the Film Asylum? Or is it a trend in within the film industry itself? I see strong reactions against two recent films by generally well-respected directors (Kubrick's "Eyes Wide Shut" and DePalma's most recent), and a lukewarm review of Polanski's latest film (it didn't "completely suck"). This is not to say that good directors don't make bad films, or that studio execs nowadays don't force good directors to make bad films. But three great directors whose latest (or last, in Kubrick's case) films are failures? C'mon.
Shall we get back to talking about "great" car-chase scenes?
