I really like this film and am allured by the Roger Waters/Gerald Scarfe commentary available on the DVD release. The local video stores carry only a handful of DVD titles, so I'll have to buy this to audition it.Any opinions on the transfer quality and the quality of the extra goodies?
I forgot to mention, does anyone know how to access the secret menus or features? I really want to find out and read in some mag that their is some on here but they wouldn't elaborate. Help.

I loved the transfer but their is a lot of hiss from the soundtrack! It looks great. Is Pulse or any other PF shows on DVD? I recently bought the Pulse set new on Album, a UK cut and it sounds great! If your a PF fan I would say buy this ASAP! Any ideas why the DVD DD has so much hiss?
Pink Floyd has to be my favorite band of all time!!!

Pink Floyd is my favorite band of all time & Roger is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE artist. I've listened to Pros & Cons 100's of times & seen the wall about as many. The commentary track is great, not alot of insight, but more like watching with two close friends. They comment on life, child abuse, racism, etc. Parts of it are very funny.
The Hey You video alone was worth it for me. I have about 40 Floyd CD's and this was a killer addition to the collection.
The DD 5.1 annoyed me on my Pana A300 DVD player, but it seemed improved by the A320 I got to replace it. I personally like the PCM track better. The DD has a GREAT deal of hiss. The video is wonderful for a film this age. The menus are somewhat annoying at first, but the real kicker is the tracks aren't listed by name, just number, so you don't know what song is which on the disc.
If you are a fan, NO QUESTION- BUY IT. BUY IT TODAY.
you'll be happier with "Delicate Sound of Thunder" & "Pulse". I've got both on LD. They're both spectacular!
to me Pink Floyd without Roger Waters is like a re-animated corpse without a heart or brain.
I used to think that too... but if you watch Pulse or Delicate Sound of Thunder as suggested and I think you'll be amazed by the sound and energy of the band without Roger Waters. Fantastic sound and spectacular performances.Oh and BTW.... cheer up Roger!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good one, Scott. Describes my perception of a Waters-less Floyd perfectly.I have to admit to owning the original Pulse release, and even listening to it once in a great while. David Gilmore is an extraordinary guitarist.
The PCM audio is inferior to the LD but otherwise the dvd is far superior.
