Lonesome Dove meets Twin Peaks?I think it is trying to be strange, gritty, violent, but with too much profanity. But heck, they are trying.

There's a short thread way down the line on this from earlier in the week.
I look forward to seeing episode two...from the previews, looks like the violence is due to escalate greatly...however, I don't think it possible for the profanity to increase from the level of episode one.

The scene with the town Doc pushing the probe through the bullet holes in the cowboys frontal lobe was one for the books!
The Sopranos followed by Deadwood...must see TV for Sunday nights!
