I thought since you made a statement you could defend it.Forget what HE thinks of his character... what do YOU think. You really feel a murderer is not a evil person?
I have not read the books, but in films he kills for selfish reasons. Is that what happens in the books too?
Between the several films John's Ripley is perhaps in between - not as attractive as Delon, but certainly more charismatic, to the point of displaying some semblance of human traits, than Damon. Just realized how close those two names were.
I agree that providing some author's insignt is interesting, and I appreciate that, but I would like to hear your personal opinion.
...and personally I haven't decided if evil is something you ARE or something you DO.
