Last Friday, the Weinsteins closed the deal with Disney to buy the film for the cost of production, $6M. Today they announced an aggressive distribution schedule with partners Lions Gate and IFC Films. They are releasing the film on June 25. Showtime will be taking care of the pay-TV side. The home video release, aimed for the fall, is still in discussion, but will probably be handled by either Universal Home Video of Lions Gate's home entertainment division.
