I know others have posted on this but I didn't see it until last night after I had picked up the DVD useed. It is a great documentary and although some of what McNamara says is very self serving he is able to convince us of the sheer complexity of international problems and how human nature precludes a true understanding of the adversary. I was spellbound into the wee hours.

I watched this a few nights ago, too. I know everybody wants to pull Iraq into the picture, but I found myself actually "forgetting" about it. This was totally Cold War to the hilt---and what really struck me was when he said he basically said he had a front row seat.
Who would even want to consider being in that position?

I thought it was very good also. McNamara seemed to be losing his marbles though........
