  She's just wonderful in "Cabiria" too, its every bit as good a film as La Strada

    I agree with that. She's even better in the film you mention.

    Haven't seen La Strada in quite some time. "Awestruck" is a good word for it. A perfect tragedy in the Greek tradition.

    Want to see another enjoyable Fellini film? How about "Variety Lights"? It's a gem and Fellini's debut.

    Now in the mood for great foreign films? See Pather Panchali. It packs an even deeper wallop than La Strada. A perfect tradegy in the Indian tradition.

    If La Strada brushes your soul and emotions, Pather Panchali is the can of paint poured right in.

    The forest scenes, the Indian forests with Ravi Shanker music playing, is just some of the most beautiful and striking there is.

    Similar to the beauty of the last scene in La Strada by the sea. And that is a beautiful scene.
