Tosh,That brings us to an interesting question I'd like to hear opinions on: Do you feel scarred in any way having had the crap scared out of you back then? This is in particular reference to the contemporary cultural mores which holds that no child should be exposed to anything scary at all in general, and in the movies and stories they are exposed to in particular. Would really like to hear what your ( and anybody else's) opinion is on this.
Follow Ups:
after seeing "Jaws", the answer would be no.I am a PADI certified diver and have gone nose-to-nose with undersea creatures and have zero fear anymore.
King Kong was scary (to a five year-old) because who the hell would want to be stomped on by a enormous gorilla.
I am a HUGE horror fan (have at least 150 films from this genre) and I look forward to the day that I am stuck on the roof of a shopping mall armed with a .50 Barrett, Amanda Peet, some dim sum, and a parking lot filled with flesh-eating zombies.
Granted, my first marriage was ten times worse than any horror film. TeeHee.
