Colors were washed out and tended towards the blue. The theatrical presentation was vibrant. Not that the film lost any of its power, but this DVD stands as further testimony to the importance of catching a movie (if you can) on the big screen.
Follow Ups:

Where the projector lamp is underlit, the sound is either distorted or too loud (or both), the aspect ratio is not correct, the audience talks incessantly, the floors are sticky, and the prices go up every couple of months.

...one might *imagine* Hollywood to have superior exhibition. Anyway, Westwood. Sorry for your loss.
Where the projector lamp is underlit,-- You maybe ought to go to theatres that charge more than $1.
the sound is either distorted or too loud (or both),
-- Ditto the above. All manner of HPS-4000s, Kinteks etc.
the aspect ratio is not correct,
-- Only seen that happen once.
the audience talks incessantly,
-- You hang with the wrong crowd.
the floors are sticky,
-- O geez.
and the prices go up every couple of months.
-- Blatant falsehood.
-- You seem to labor under delusions, sir.
BTW, is your display ISF calibrated?
-- What's that got to do with what I said?
-- Or are you suggesting that all the *other* DVDs are wrong?
