Do you think the host & guest are being themselves, or are they "playing" to the camera (us)??
I've seen John Faveroes (spelling?) films. Sorry fans, but I think John F. is a so-so talent as a filmmaker. Yeah. I've seen Elf.I like his show on IFC ,however. What I like is the broad range of actors on the show...anyone from a "new-young-talent"....to an aging has-been. Anyone seems to show up. The show with Richard Lewis as one of the guest killed me. Pissed myself laughing.
No IFC watchers at my workplace...I feel like a lone wolf. Everyone talks about Fear Factor....The Apprentice, American Chopper, etc. Stop me before I keep going!

Stop already with the "reeality" shows...I swear the viewing public is getting dumber every year. LOL. I thought we were supposed to evolve, not devolve.
Like Victor, I used to watch Dinner in the past, but no longer. Some of the actors definitely seemed themselves, and some looked like they were putting on their best face. After a while, it became boring, same ole topic of conversation, and Jon was not very deep with his thoughts or insight to raise the bar with his guests. Jon Stewart can be more insightful.
Found it rather flat, with nor much of interest. Most conversations are not too deep, so I don't watch it anymore.
