I thought he seemed like a thoroughly decent guy. He left the Marines last year, voluntarily, because he no longer felt comfortable in the service. Don't know if he's yet made good on his commitment to try to raise awareness of the perceived relationship between the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the Iraq war.
What exactly did you find disgusting? I can't even imagine what FOX would look like if this country was actually invaded and occupied. It would make the wartime propaganda of WWII look like a course in sensitivity training. Your problem is that they aren't as thrilled as they should be that people are being killed, whatever the "cause" being served?

No, my problem is that Al Jazeera is filled to the rim with hatered towards the West and Jews. Those are their fundamental beliefs, no matter what words they put on top. The polite and intelligent veneer that they use apparently is capable of fooling some, though.

  try not to see what you want to or expect to. I saw not ONE example of hatred of Jews or the West.
  Mr. Khatid, even, said quite sincerely he wanted to move with his family to the US.
  All this use of the "hate" term is so much projection. After all, just who is killing whom---and why---in Iraq?
