In comparo, Matrix was dumbed down, diluted and pre-chewed for Western consumption.

Previous poster mentioned Wings of Honneimaise, same director also did one called Mahoromatic, which has turned into my favorite anime ever. Warped, perverted, funny, thought-provoking. Has it all.
