I was flipping channels and stumbled over the Housekeeper. I saw it when it came out, and I think once more, but I just started to watch it again. Much can be said about the soft and intelligent style of many French movies, with this one truly representative, and Claude Berri's directing is completely captivating, albeing very simple. Simple story, good actors (I love Jean-Pierre Bacri) and soft music and images - and you feel like you are swimming in the Mediterranean sea in July...And... it shatters the old goat fascination ala Lost in Translation and puts things into their right places. Mercilessly, too.

Follow Ups:
there may be a lack of interest in nubiles for goats like us...but we're not the character portrayed by Bill Murray in LiT.
Weird or not, movie and rock star males (and aging athletes) often are mobbed by the young. Why they fail to appreciate the gifts of intelligent, sophisticated, and learned gentlemen of a less luminary nature, such as us, is a mystery.

Much TOO young to be an old goat!

Liszt and many other older musicians similarly were chased by young females. Hell, look at Chaplin and Picasso: they married women young enough to be daughters.
Hmmmm. Maybe I should begin that novel (is that why French call it "romance?").

But at least there he fell for an old and ugly - but smart! - woman, so it didn't make any of us grind our teeth in envy and feel deficient!Must be the movie made especially for Tin... I am sure when he goes to the beach he always looks around and comments - "Man, that ugly old hag in her 1950-vintage bathing suit sure looks like she's got a couple of PhD's! Man, if only I were single!"
That said, it is nice to have him out of competition... would be much tougher if he was like us! :-)
