Just saw Batman Begins, and while it's no masterpiece, it definitely is the best of the bunch. On par with the recent Spiderman II IMO in establishing the standard. Now we need a Superman remake. I enjoyed the original for what it was when i was young, but now we could definitely use a well-done remake that delves a bit deeper into the grand-daddy superhero of all..

Follow Ups:
it lists some guy named Brandon Routh as playing Clark/Superman in Superman Returns, scheduled for 2006.

Thoroughly enjoyed this one. Hope Nolan makes the next. I'd like to see Ray Winstone play middle-aged Batman and perhaps the working man's James Bond. (It would be nice if they remade the Bond series by the novels with a different Bond each time.)
...I saw BB yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing, although like Spidey II it ran out of steam towards the end. Nevertheless, it gave great Sunday matinee. Plus, just down the street the fans were streaming out of Fenway Park after a 8-0 clobbering of the Pirates. There was joy on Boylston Street.clark
Now about Superman:

A remake is in production and I believe it stars the star of "Smallville".

IMO Smallville was/is basically a daytime soap masquerading as a Superman storyline. Personally I can't stand that main actor's portrayal of Superman as anything remotely faithful to the original concept. Unless he undergoes a huge acting/looks/personality makeover, I hope they use someone else..

...Superman begins comes in the form of the TV show "Smallville", which I find much better than any of the superman movies.
