Yahoooo! on summer hols as of tonight. Four weeks with no work. Spring break this year we played all 5 of the Star Wars movies with whole family, popcorn, etc in attendance, just to get ready for Clones. Good fun for all being teenage boys and mom and dad.So summer holidays and need a personal film fest with the home system. Thinking 2 Eastwood flics a week for a total of 8 - but what would you pick after the GB&U. Or maybe something foreign and Rohmer would be the guy - pick a Director and do a couple of Fellini movies every week for four weeks - if only we could afford the real thing this summer in Europe.
Looking for some ideas, a little discussion / conversation to get my creative juices going so that come Sunday night I can fire up the popcorn maker, subwoofer, and dvd player. Looking forward to hearing your suggestions.
Follow Ups:
Casino, Goodfellas,A Bronx Tale, and Ronin are among my favorites from Robert Deniro. I actually prefer his later films to those earlier in his career. Of course Raging Bull and Taxi Driver are among the best ever.

How about watching films by the Coen brothers? Or all of the Kubrick films.

Thanks Rico - pretty much seen all the Coen's but Kubricks have seen maybe only two - Space Odyssey (this is Kubrick right?) and his last. What should be on my list?

Spartacus, Paths of Glory, Lolita, The Shining, Full Metal Jacket, The Killing, Dr. Strangelove in no particular order.

All of those are simply great films!
