Ten year old little YECHenstein enjoyed this one.
I damn near fell asleep.Nothing at all to put it in the same league as Ice Age or Shrek.

...(the lastest advance on the animation technique used for Polar Express) which allows the faces to show emotion.I found it entertaining and fun. Too scary for those under 5.

If I had a 5 year old. There are some intensely scary moments - a six year old near me retreated into mom's lap and was hiding the last 20 minutes.
Nothing gory but definitely some frightening "house" stuff. Not for little ones methinks. The 10 year old I took was fine.
Moreover, I liked it better than either Shrek II or Ice Age, but then I'm not a Shrek fan. I thought the characterizations were quite spot on, and Steve Buscemi's voice work was great.
