  As a Hollywood franchise, Clancy's books may have been done-in by the movie of "Sum of All Fears", which after a lousy screenplay, horrible casting and PC-sanitizing, bore no resemblance to the book. I wonder if Clancy simply sold out his own work for the rights $$. I think many of Clancy's fans felt burned by SOAF and will stay away from a "Clancy" movie next time. I will.
