Daniel Craig was wonderful as Bond....of course Judi Dench as anything is always good. The action sequences were absolutely edge of your seat...This maybe the very best Bond film ever!!! FYI... Caterina Murino is a modern day Sophia Loren....and just as stunning!!!

still, it was one of the better 007s and, a refreshing change from the previous venue. There is room to expand on this model so the next sequels should even get better.
in this film which was void of the usual cutsey quips and downright business like. They made him a real man (and she was a real woman) and Judi Dench is terrific again as M, prodding Bond and keeping him on the straight and narrow.A little too long is right - but it was so good I did not care.

That gave me no question he could be Bond. Pretty he ain't. Real he is.

Craig brings the true spirit to the series. He is sharp, fit, centered, and a whole lot less redeeming in nature. Sure, he fell in love (as called for by the first book) but he is developing a whole new attitude on the subject.Craig brings to the screen a real man not a dandy face-man that goes out of his way to be sophisticated. He is about business no matter what it takes.
I applaud the movie for forsaking the usual Bond stereotypical crap yet carefully retaining the Bond feel. I felt I was seeing a good spy movie not a standard Bond film. And, I was surprised at the soundtrack be devoid of the usual (copyrighted?) shrills and frills until the closing credits.
I wouldn't mind it if they remade to whole series beginning with FRWL.
One of the best Bond films I've seen in a long time.Like stated before no gadgetry,no silly female names,in fact very little womanizing.
The intro visuals were not up to Bond standards infact they were so
mediocre I was expecting to be dissappointed with the film.My wife
liked it so much she wants to see it again.
In my feeble opinion the only Brosnan film that comes close is Goldeneye.
the two Zorro films which I love!!!! I agree with Rico too it was just a smidge too long....but fabulous locations, beautiful girls....what more could you ask for!?!?!?

It did run over 2 hours,at no time did I feel bored or tired.Infact
I could have watched more.
Agree that they could redo the series,in the original order of the
books.
I totally agree. A black and white opening, no Miss Moneypenny, no "Q", a decided lack of high tech gadgetry, and (as you say) stunning action sequences. I particularly enjoyed the martini line and the return of the 1964 Aston Martin form "Goldfinger", previously the best Bond film. Craig is great as our hero. A bit overlong but so what.
