This story of schlockmeister film maker Ed Wood was directed an a purposely campy balack and white style by Tim Burton, who also served as co-producer. Johnny Depp is hilarious as Wood and supporting actor Martin Landau won an Academy award for his portrayal of aging film has been now drug addled Bela Lugosi. Others in the wonderfully chosen cast are Sarah Jessica Parker, Patricia Arquette, and Bill Murray. In a stunning bit part, Vincent d'Onofrio as Orson Welles is uncanny in its portrayal. A wonderful romp, consistently weird and funny.

Saw it twice about 6 years ago and loved it. Probably the only Burton and/or Dep film I like without reservations. Got a real kick out of the conversation between Wood and Welles, and the problems they had in common...LOL!
Totally agree with your comments on Burton and Depp. And the orson Welles impersonation is indeed stunning. for me the high point of the film.
