  to so label it because it transcends the "coming-of-age" genre.
  Noi: the Albino.
  From Iceland, which has several excellent directors.
  A bonus: the young girl is as beautiful as the young Audrey Hepburn (I know Vic won't be able to resist, now..).

  In comparison to other -american- movies, it wasn't that bad. I haven't recommended bad movie yet.

  Some of it might be age some of it might be relating to a certain type of cultural/pop cultural vibe.

  I liked it a lot but I liked The Royal Tennenbaums better. and I thought The Squid And The Whale was very very good. I also liked The Life Aquatic With Steve Zisou" but that would be a distant fourth for me.
