and the brilliant, cutting dialogue, must have been a smash on Broadway.
Norma Shearer, Joan Fontaine, Rosalind Russell, Joan Crawford---- four A-list stars in this witty, ridiculously fast-paced (the pace of the dialogue would make a rapper's head spin) comedy about infidelity among the upper NY classes.
Shearer's husband has had his head turned by a vampish Crawford and soon divorce is in the air, as well as blood in the water.
Sensational, never-bested dialogue, terrific period costumes, one brilliant color passage of a very risqué fashion show, and an enormously talented young actress playing the daughter of the divorced parents.
Your wife will love you for this---- at least until the ending.

I have that.the hollywood beauties is good to.9 movies on 3 discs.I only watched 3 movies so far.marilyn monroe was in the first one. home town story.she is beautiful but she only had about 5 min in the movie.
a while back I transfered my vhs to dvd one million years bc.I liked the special effects and rachael welch.yummy:}

And now the bad news: some idiots can´t accept excellence as it is, so there´s a remake, from 2008. This time the director is a woman, too...

- Yes, I noticed the lack of men. It's not uncommon in "manly" action films - tinear 12:51:18 04/28/09 (1)
  to exclude the fair sex. Strange to see the tables turned.
