excellent film industry (consider the size of the country) and has more than several very, very good films the past decade. Ironically, Iran also has a superb industry. By the way, one of Iran's greatest directors, Jafar Panahi, was recently jailed for five years because of his work.

Not everyone's cup of tea, for sure, but in my view worth viewing.

The subject of Israeli and Iranian cinema I thought we already beat to death recently. Since then I had seen more of both, but have not stumbled over a reason to change my general view. Jailing anyone because of their views is disgusting, but I suspect it had less to do with the artistic merits of his films, more with the message or subject.
