Mrs PG and I thought it would be a fun movie to see during the end of the playoffs and before the World Series.Both of us thought it was a good baseball tale.

Thought Pitt and Hill were both wonderful.

and to see them change the way the picking and playing was done in the face of the established scouts and Manager (Hoffman).
Pitt was good too. An enjoyable time.

...an excellent film, and it just happened to be about baseball.
Brad Pitt may be up for an Oscar for his understated perfromance.
Also Jonah Hill was terrific, too, in a roll that goes against the type he usually plays.
And Phillip Seymour Hoffman was pretty good, too.
All in all, very well done - one of the better films of the year.
kind of a nice little story that made me more interested in the actual book and what actually happened. Fine acting all around. It left very little long term impression however.
