with the use of light and imagery. It is mesmerizing as we are absorbed by the purely mundane of their lives...we become part of their lives. I'm at the halfway point and appreciate that non-commercial foreign film makers do not feel restrained to 90 minute scripts.
I too am at close to middle point, and too had the acute case of tarrism.
Can't say I am in awe yet, maybe it will come later, so far this is the Turkish version of the mostly familiar stuff. Tarr is much more striking at his best.

it would be just another boring foreign movie. Am impressed with the use of lighting in the fields.

I initially liked the use of lighting, but quickly started feeling manipulated. Too much of good thing, as they say. To be used in moderation. Will see what comes next, though... to early to judge.
