As with all HBO shows lot's of sex, borderline pornographic (even juicier than Boardwalk Empire)plenty of brutality, betrayal - very Shakespearean, equally applies to ancient, medieval and current times - just add some Dragons, White Walkers and black magic. Peter Dinklage (Frank in Death at the Funeral) as Tyrion Lannister steals the show.

....the series actually tries to follow the book plots as they can. They definitely do deviate with select characters but the premise is still there; a bunch of powerful families vying for power with sometimes fatal results for the losers. Add in a "supernatural" (?) threat from the North and overseas long-thought-to-be-dead dragons to make matters even more interesting.

No way Tyrion gets killed; he is too "interesting" a character to kill off.
