...did you see it in 3-D on a huge screen as it was meant to be seen?
Otherwise, I don't think you have really seen it since the 3-D is an integral part of the film.
It was my favorite film last year and I saw nearly all of the best film nominees (except Philomena).
I saw 3D in the theatre. 3D is a trigger for my migraine. I dislike such gimmicks.

Sorry, but eventually all movies and TV will be 3-D.
Not really personal. I enjoyed Avatar in 3D in spite of aura of migraine. Ah, now come to think of it, perhaps the Chagall like paintings I see as aura added to the beauty of that movie.

Some things are better bigger. I really like fireworks displays but recordings of them suck. Scale is important in a movie like this.
