was not a good decision, because the writing was hackneyed.
When you see Casey Affleck, Woody Harrelson, Christian Bale, Forest Whitaker, and Sam Shepard, you expect better than adequate. Scott Cooper, director, seriously needs more work on his suspense chops. This could have been very much better, considering all the squandered talent.

That was a terrible film. Full of holes.

  The only truly ridiculous and poor scene was the visit to the dope house. He never would have been allowed to leave. Actually, he never would have been allowed to get to the mother lode in the first place...
