Nobody will know here what this is.....Well one Ustinov ( director and actor ) Film, based on a Melville novel.
Terence Stamp first big role ( well well not to good at all ) but a film with a good script and fundamental questions about the law in civil time and in wartime, as a soldier.
Worth a good look, as antidote to the " Martian " and other....no brainer...
Follow Ups:
It was interesting how he gradually entered the film, starting low, but eventually to totally dominate it.
The rest? OK, I guess...
Oh yes he was. I think he only directed 5 films, but hie oeuvre was immense.
The rest: ......Not only one woman in the whole film, but you get your share of homosexuality. I suppose....
Hardly. But the whole moral conflict seemed too contrived to me, at least from my modern understanding.
So that part did not really touch me much.
Will you marry me or not!!!
You disliked the Clueless.
I always loved you!
Agreed. One of the better films to come from a Melville book.
I read by now some critics and of all what I read, Terence Stamp was hailed as getting an exceptional performance.. I found than ending his acting short before the scene went to another he did kind of let down to his playing...
