Sure, why not.
Mediocre script, mostly B-tier cast, and B-tier effects. The effects were a real let down compared to the other mightier budgeted Marvel productions. When I looked beyond the principals in a scene the CGI looked sloppy and slightly blurred. Although the action sequences were very good with all the jumping around.
The story of Wakanda and its leaders have been noticeably compared to Trump's America. That may be true but the long, low dog whistle of the film simply overclouds Wakanda's self-contained policies to the average viewer. And, I was surprised that the most modern country on the planet still resorted to political savagery in the form of kingly combat.
Wakanda served no useful purpose to the world and the story did not feature a monolithic evil that needed to be defeated like all other Marvel stories. Perhaps that is coming later. (Not a comic book guy.)
Despite its flaws, it is entertaining looking past its warts and moles. And, people are going to see this three and four times to make it the most watched and profitable film, ever. Perhaps one day the metroplex will have a double feature: 'Black Panther' and 'Gone With The Wind'.

It might help you make sense of it. It bored me a bit, but I didn't suffer from the giant misinterpretation that you apparently do. Afrofuturism can be linked to many musical artists such a Sun Ra and even George Clinton. Of course, we don't know if that resonates with you since you don't share with us your music system or musical preferences.

Bios since delve even further but haven't read 'em. Yet.

I doubt the Marvel creator thought one thing about it. The movie was mediocre but the dog whistle was loud.
...I'm not going to go into Wonka's politics except to say he's from Mississippi, for f*** sake.
I had no idea, but that explains a lot.
as if a liberal has any. Snort, snort.
No, Afrofuturism is an art genre. I said look it up! Apparently the dog whistle wasn't loud enough for you to hear it correctly.
And, no, I won't look it up.
It also enhances the experience. Somehow I'm not surprised you need to ask that question. And, no, I'm not a Single Jewish Woman!
" have been noticeably" incorrect tense in the verb modifier , as long as criticism is on the table.
Perhaps too fine a point for a guy who thinks a comic book movie contains a hidden political statement, that just happens to be a plot that attacks him personally.
I have read more cognizant reviews.
criticism. It was a mediocre movie not up to Marvel standards despite costing $200M.
And calling names is poor conversation, something a child might do.I'm 66 years old and mean no offense if I am addressing a child or someone with limited abilities.
If I am addressing a fully grown adult with english as their first language, grammar , as you already know, has nothing to do with politics.
While you might resent my education, although I don't know why, knowledge is not political.I happen to value knowledge quite highly, and find seeking it the better path for me. I came by my knowledge honestly, hard work and world travel from my seafaring days provided most of my education, along with time in the high mountains. I have lots of stories, with a hand full even life or death.
I was just thinking back to the few men I have known who did not read or write. An easy tip is that they never check the menu, just look to see what people are eating. Most didn't try to hide it, but , funny thing, they all spoke very well, no grammatical errors.
English is a very powerful language. We can express thoughts that some other languages , japanese , for one example, literally have no words to express. They have to build a collection of words to try to get at the meaning, while english has one word, with a clear meaning as to what is being said.
I respect that, civilization at work all the way back to the invention of the english language.
No shame on me that I have enough skill to do my part as a native english speaker to know the rules , and that they are useful, and have been for centuries.
Call correct grammar all the names all you want, I will object key board internet style just this once. I will let Shakespeare decide if word should be constructed to convey thought precisely.

...I'm not sure I'd have used "cognizant". I like "cogent". Or did you intend to imply the subject review was influenced by some lack of knowledge or awareness? My take is that it was intended to be a contrarian/anti-PC review and therefore out of line with the mainstream.
You grasped my intention completely. I don't always shun fools as often as I should, sometimes I will stop and collect a bit of trash to make the world a better place.
...fights in it, was WAY too complicated...and, gee whiz...it was way too silly, just like a comic book.
What a waste of my $10 and 3 hours.
Thumbs down from me.

...you know bw.
Can the guy do math? I have heard the bots that sow contention on the net can't do math. They converse pretty well, but the programs are limited, no math.
...that capability will be enabled when social media sites and apps begin requiring "math" as a humanness test. When it comes to this, a large portion of the US adult population will be determined to be non-human and unable to participate in social media. Ultimately, since critical thinking and healthy skepticism are considered negative traits, the bots and trolls will win our minds EVERY TIME! HaHaHa.
In your title you state bots have math capability, then say that capability will be enabled, in the opening sentence.
. Have or will, are quite different statements. You contest my statement, yet provide no factual reasons. I don't mind being corrected, I do wonder at your point, do the russian bots have a math ability or not? I was informed not, and would like better information in all cases. In my experience, the posters asked for simple math have not responded, leaving me with zero answers.
I respect critical thinking and skepticism , and wonder at a person who would picture these as a lost social value. Nobody can stop a guy from thinking, are you saying you have problems all of a sudden? Why and who would be the first question. For me, it would be an internal problem.
...shame on me for not being more obvious.
"Have" and "will" are not as different as you seem to believe. The Russian bot software could (and I suspect does-w/o proof) contain the capability of doing simple math and other "pseudo human" things but it's not "turned on". IOW, capability exists but isn't enabled. All it takes is the flip of a digital switch and it's running. Performing simple middle school grade symbolic math should be easy considering those captcha things can be decoded by the better bot software nowadays. Sadly, middle school math would probably baffle a large percentage of the adult US population if presented to them with no calculator handy. And many seem proud of this lack of a simple and onetime vital skill set.
The overall point is that much of western culture and American culture in particular currently seems to celebrate ignorance, stupidity and general lack of education inc math and the concept of "critical thinking" / skepticism. Evidence of this exists in the daily news cycle and other recent events but further discussion of this would breach forbidden subject matters and result in dippappearing posts. So all this remsins IMO, of course. And you are entitled to yours.
