...Spike Lee's latest is a powerful film about race in America.
It is no coincidence it was released on the anniversary of the Charlottesville demonstration.
It is based on a true story about the first black cop to be hired in Colorado Springs in the early 1970s who teams up with a white co-worker to infiltrate the local chapter of the KKK.
Phone conversations with Grand Wizard David Duke take place and he comes to the cop's initiation ceremony.
While it moves slow in a few places, there is some humor, suspense and an explosion.
I predict it will be nominated for an Oscar.
And I also predict Wonka won't review it.

Because it is Spike, because Hollywood is irresponsibly left, because it incites animosity, it will be nominated if not given "Most Popular".

It will no doubt incite animosity toward racists - that seems pretty responsible to me.
And Most Popular Film will likely be based on box office - Cruise or superheroes.
Or this one:
...BW sees and reviews BlacKKKlansman : you see and review Death of a Nation LOL!
That sounds almost as good as the John Hurt Ryan O'Neal flic where they dressed up and infiltrated the gay community to solve a crime.
In a (very) small way, it is refreshing to learn that the KKK existed in CO? Traditionally, the Deep South receives all of the blame.
