  Well (As Estes mentioned) the premium Sony charges (upwards of 10%) for the Sony name (IMHO). Other than that, not much. I generally consider the Sony Wega(s) the CRT SDTV to beat when comparision shopping.

  In a I mentioned the Sony sets didn't do well with poor cource material. But that is just my isolated experience (YMMV!).

  Nothing really, but they do charge a premium for their name, which may or may not be reflected in their quality.
