Video Asylum

I recently installed a Xantech remote extender system allowing use of remotes through a closed cabinet. This allowed me to bring out my audio system remote that I hadn't used in years. Now I find I have command conflicts; the Parasound receiver turns on/off with remote commands to the TV or DVD player, Zenith VCR turns on/off with volume command to receiver, etc. The obvious culprit is my old Parasound DR65 receiver which seems to have a very undiscriminating remote command code. Anyone know a way out of this short of disconnecting the receiver from the Xantech system?
