I found a good deal on a T531 and would like to purchase it. Upon reviewing whay yall had to say, it sounds as though the model may be a dud. I am an audio guy, therefore video is not my main priority. I'll live with less than perfect, and I am tempted to go ahead with the purchase. Please stop me if I am about to make a mistake!! Thanks,

The t531 is an excellent player. Opposite of what the folder says it doesn't play vcd, nor svcd. As a cd player however it's a good choice. It's an excellent dvd player as well. I've had mine for a almost a year now and I have no complaint, also because of the fact that it also plays MP3, in a quality that can be compared with the normal cd quality of a lot of mid priced players.
