What's your take on fan noise? (How far from the projector do you sit? Cinema Black on or off?)

I think the fan noise issue is overblown. Yes, you can hear it, but it's quieter than a PC would be, sitting 3 feet from your head. It's a lower pitch than a PC, which makes me wonder if that's why some seem to find it such a big deal. Perhaps they're used to a certain whine, and something at a different pitch stands out. Personally, I much prefer the lower pitch to the dentists-drill sound of a PC fan.Right now it's right behind me about 3 feet & slightly above. It'll be higher & farther away in its final setup. Cinema Black is on; with it off, the noise ramps up a lot & would be annoying in reqular use.
