I know its just a DTS decoder, but is the Sony EP9es still good by today's standards? It seems to be very flexible with multiple crossovers and a digital equalizer.
Follow Ups:
I just sold my Sony ES processor for the following reasons:
a) two channel stereo sounds poor;
b) it will not pass a 96khz signal through;
c) no DTS on board (only dolby digital; DTS can be added by aftermarket company);
d) sold it while I can still get within 25 dollars of what I paid for it.For the 250 to 300 you can get out of it I think one is much better off with one of those Outlaw 950 preamp/processors. You get the latest processing features and DVD audio support. You also get one box instead of two when you use the sony es (preamp and sony).
