I got a DVD Recorder for Christmas. It records both DVD-R and DVD+R.I read that DVD-R plays on more DVD players, but that DVD+R records about 10% quicker.
Is there any other advantage of DVD+R? Seems like DVD-R is the way to go.

There is substantiala difference in computer based components. DVD+Rs can be recorded at 8x whereas DVD-Rs only at 4x. Progressively, all DVD-ROMs will support well both standards. If you do not move disks from computer to player, then it really does not make any difference.
