I have been trying to connect my Toshiba laptop (running on windows XP pro) to a Grundig television using an S-video output connected to a Scart adapter which is finally inserted into the TV. Then after rebooting the laptop i press the fn key+F5 to display the monitor on the TV but nothing happens. I have tried all the Function keys but to no avail. Through the same scart adapter i can however play the audio sounds from my laptop to TV.Can somebody explain what i should do to use the TV as a monitor in my system (laptop + windows XP professional).
Any replies will be greatly appreciated.
best wishes from denmark

Hi, out on a limb here, but does your TV have an *input select* switch? - TV/VCR
Try TV on channel 3 or 4 ?
What laptop screen resolution are you using? Unless this a an HDTV, I don't think it will work, but sure I'm not.
"Grundig" sounds likes it's very "olde" %)
