Hi all,,,two things here,,,when I connect with the 3 component video cables, I get two seperate split images on the screen, but it goes away when I use the SVHS connection. Also the images seem to be out of proportion,,,everthing looks long and skinny. Are these things that need to be changed in the setup menu? Thanks in advance.

If the images are long and skinny, it sounds like you may have the DVD player set to 16:9 Display in the Set-Up menu, while viewing on a 4:3 display. Set the player to 4:3 Letterbox and this should correct the problem.Or...
Can your display do split-screen ? I have an older Sony big-screen display and when it does split-screen, everything gets stretched vertically. Maybe you have this enabled on the component input and that's why you see two images.

Have you checked the three component cables to make sure that each is connected to its corresponding terminal?
