My set-up is:Sharp XVS-55 Video Projector TV with 100" TV screen
Pioneer Elite DV-37 Progressive Scan DVD player
Denon AVR-3802 A/V Digital Dolby receiver
Canton Karat M70 DC speakers
Boston Acoustics subwooferAbout a month ago I noticed two little blue dots being projected from my TV on the bottom left-hand side of the screen, and I see them whether I am watching TV (Direct TV) or the DVD player. I don't really see them against light backgrounds but they are very visible against dark ones, especially black backgrounds - it's as if the TV can no longer project dark-colored pixels or something in these two spots. It's not that big of a deal, I guess, but I do find it kind of distracting and am wondering what, if anything, I might be able to do about it. Thx very much for any help.
Follow Ups:
If the dots are very well defined then you probably have a bad lcd panel If the dors are fuzzy looking with a slight flare then it could be foreign material in the optics. I would have a Sharp qualified service center take a look at it.

Bad news is that I don't think you can do anything about the blue dots.I don't know the display, but it sounds like you've got a projector using LCD technology and its got a couple of dead pixels. This is something that you can get brand new out of the box or something that might appear with time (less usual, I think?).
If you're under warranty with the projector, start squealing right away. If not, I doubt it can be economically fixed. ,...Even if out of warranty, you could ask for an exchange for a refurbished unit? The policy for exchanging a unit with dead pixels will vary...
Sorry I don't have better news for you :-(
