I remember reading that 51" (or so) plasmas are the best bet. Somehow that size is optimal for resolution. All things being equal (which apparently they are not), I'd prefer something larger than 51". Thoughts?

Follow Ups:
50" (except for a few models that are 1280x768) and 6x" plasmas have the same resolution (1366x768). The difference is the size of the pixels: the larger plasmas obviously use larger pixels. What you are probably referring to is called "fill factor". You can get closer to a 50" plasma before you can distinguish the individual pixels than you can a larger plasma. It also has to do with the size of the ribs (the barriers between the individual pixels) and this contributes to what's called "the screen door effect", due to the fact that it resembles looking through a screen door.
