  but i've tried the antenna route with HDTV & the picture quality is sub par even to record to my svhs so...? I now record to a dvd-hard drive & burn to a dvd with so much less size & fuss via dig. cable....also I transfered all my svhs tapes to dvd & impossible to find long out of print super-beta rock vids to dvd.... with excellent results...DVD Recorder(s) Sony 715

    It sounds, tho, that your HDTV antenna into the D-VHs might have been the problem.

    I've sort of given up on the D-VHS thing. But I'd be very interested to hear what anybody else has to say.
