I have a Denon DD rec. and a Toshiba 3108, w/internal DD decoder.
When, How, and Why would I want to use one over the other?
All of the usual in/outputs abound. I do have a Millennium DTS
connected via Toslink from DVD and then 6 channel OUTs to the REC.,
from the M., but this is another matter.
Thanks, Chris
Hey Chris. There is really no time when you would want to use the internal DD decoder of your DVD player. The Denon's DD decoder should provide better performance, the one in your DVD player is there for compatability with "Dolby Digital Ready" receivers. How you have it now is fine, just ignore the 6 channel output of the Tosh.
