http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=732584Panasonic has also just released a 50" commercial 1920x1080 model. Pioneer has had a 50" 1920x1080 model out for a few months and the rumor is that their 60" 1920x1080 model will be out in 2007.

.......The commercial version is not yet available in Australia.
I have only today located a store near by where I can view the consumer model.Smile
Damn internet is too global.
:-)I have to pass on a new display this year, but next year might bring a better option. By late 2007, Toshiba/Canon should be producing SEDs. Of course, they had better have one at or very close to 65" for me to invest or else I'll own another plasma instead.
.....Us pesky foreigners sticking our nose in makes it hard from all you USofA based inmates! :o)I have read good things about SED but I’m not sure how long before they will be in the market & I am looking for an upsizing now.
We have a SD 42” Panasonic plasma in the bedroom & although the picture is still good it is noticeably down compared to the higher def 55” Fujitsu. If the this new 65” Panasonic is really good I will probably move the Fujitsu into the bedroom and the 42” Panasonic will go into one of the other HT set-ups I have.
Time will tell.

The 50" Panasonic plasma to the bedroom and a 6x" 1920x1080 plasma/SED to the livingroom.

Sounds like my plan, a 65" Panasonic 1080p plasma in the video room, the 50" 1080i plasma goes to the family room for my kid's "Little Eistein" shows, and the 42" SD plasma to the bedroom for ... ah, you figure it out!

I've been waiting for a decent sized plasma that was 1080p. They are WAY behind the competition. That may be big enough to put in my family room.

.......…A dealer friend of mine has seen one when it was launched here a little while back. He was impressed enough to be ordering one for himself. He & I currently both have the same model 55” Fujitsu. He reckons the picture is better again and the size really makes a big difference to the overall presentation. It will be interesting to see how it displays in 1080P. Another dealer friend has a 72” rear-projection Toshiba that displays 1080P and the picture is excellent. In my set-up I can’t fit a projection TV as I have a large centre speaker that the TV needs to sit on.
I will report back after I see it.
