Hello, go for a high quality t.v. and get a $300 dvd player, the picture quality is the same on a 300 player (with a decent brand) and a 1200 dollar player most of em will pass the DTS signal but will not decode it, DD important.?, optical connections, s-video out, component video out these are all options make sure you know what you want before you look, check the net you can find alot of info
