This sounds like a ground loop problem. Try an in-line isolation transformer. Jensen Transformers makes a nice one for about $50. You can rig a poor man's solution by splicing two Radio Shack 75 to 300 ohm transformers together at the 300 ohm ends and hooking the 75 ohm ends in line with your coax.
