I Know Sound Bar Spkrs are supposed to be as Ear-Level as possible.
Our entertainment center is 42 in. wide (inside) and the new Visio 5:1 Sound Bar I want is 42.32 in. Wide.
The Top of the Ent Ctr is 38 in. Above the shelf the TV is on. (Wireless Sub has 2 Spkrs wireline-attached for rear room area.)
Recent CES Best Product is WHY I hate to pass on it over 1/3 inch.
Any experience/opinions on How "damaged" the Sound would be to Angle the Sound Bar Down from Top of Ent Ctr (38 in. above TV base) since it will sit cock-eyed if mounted inside the TV area?
Follow Ups:
I don't think 1/3" will cause so much of a tilt as to make a big difference, I personally would take the slant over having the bar further away from the TV screen. If the tweeters have any angle adjust you could even compensate for the slant.
Thanks for the Reply. I just played with 2 "yard" rulers stuck together at 42 1/3 in and while the Real Unit may work, I was concerned about the angle the ruler test showed.
I've asked them to stop production & re-design the sound bar at 41 1/2 in and am waiting patiently to hear back - but I'll probably take a chance on this. THANKS again!

LOL, that's taking the easy way out.
