I have about a 7 year old 73" Mitsubishi DLP that has developed three white spots in the last week. Little dots on the lower one third of the screen. Just one a week ago, then another, now three. It is also taking longer to turn off.
Any thoughts or words of wisdom?
I have never had it serviced. Use has been about 900 hours per year or so.
Nice hi def picture.
Your thoughts much appreciated.
Thanks

Fortunately they are only $99 ea. from Mitsubishi. You'll need 3.

I cant see how this would be a lamp problem. It sounds like sticking pixels to me.
It may be the DLP pixels "sticking" in the open position. A 2007 Samsung DLP started doing the same thing for me a few months ago. If that is it the light engine will have to be exchanged.
